What our greatest obstacles as human beings on earth is deciding which side of the tracks you want to be on. On one side of the track is this glamour life of flashing lights with everyone glorifying each other and worshipping objects and money. The other side, shows life and calmness, joy, peace, love, fellowship. There is no party lights and no object to worship. The easiest thing we can do as Believers is give up when things are starting to heat up in the kitchen. We all have issues, problems and circumstances that surrounds us on a daily basis. The word tells us it’s not who start the race, but the ones who endure shall receive the reward. (more…)

I can remember growing up as an athlete and always stairing in the mirror after a workout. Always putting so much attention on the body, wanting muscles everywhere. But with much focus on the outward appearance I ignored the inner being, which is the most important muscle that needed to be grown. (more…)

We serve a God of abundance who is consistently “more than enough.” We can see God’s generous nature in the way He loves His children.

In Psalm 103, David lists the many benefits our Father bestows on us. Verse 4 says that He redeems our life from destruction and crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercies. (more…)

It’s so easy to want more than we need and to become more focused on getting than on giving. Soon, our desires dictate our choices.

When the apostle Paul wrote to the followers of Jesus in the city of Philippi, he told them, “I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content . . . . I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need” (Phil. 4:11-12). Paul was saying, in effect, “I’ve had my ‘wanter’ fixed.” It’s important to note that Paul was not born with contentment. He learned it in the difficult circumstances of everyday life. (more…)

Keeping My Eyes on Me Will Not Change Circumstances

Many people believe the more they talk about their problems, the greater the chance it will change for their good. They walk about looking for anyone that will listen in hopes a solution will come about. They begin the day with complaints, despair, and sometimes feelings of depression. When I come across these people I am quickly reminded of the two scriptures. (more…)
