When tragedies happen, we are quickly led to ask many, Why” questions. “Why did this happen?” “Why does it have to be me?” “Why now especially when things are going my way?”

I am reminded of the story of Job, and all that he went through. Job went through far more disastrous events any of us as ever had combined and he still did not complain.

He never wavered on his faith. Job became steadfast, irremovable, and held on to what He knew about His creator.

Beloved, why do we always find ourselves down the “Why” path when things go wrong?

It’s a matter of committing our minds that faith is the substance of things hoped for and evidence of things not seen.

That our greatest test in life relies heavily to believe that what God had promised, He is able to perform.

Next time you find your self ready to ask a “Why” question, take a step back and ponder on Job’s tragedies and his reactions before you let those words come out of your mouth.

Let’s turn our “why me” into “thank you” and let God’s favor surround us as with a shield.
