Today marks Independence Day in the U.S where many barbecues, beach outings, and get togethers are happening. All of this is in remembrance of July 4, 1776, when the 13 American colonies declared their independence.

Beloved, there is another event that we should celebrate daily and more important than this holiday.

Dependance Day.

Jesus Christ not only came and conqueror sin, but He made a declaration to all of us who believes that without Him we can do nothing.

What are you going through right now that you can get through by yourself? As we walk the narrow path to eternal kingdom, we realize even more there is a bigger need to depend on Christ.

More than any government. More than any family member. More than the one that gives you a paycheck.

Instead of focusing on being independent on this holiday, start your focus daily on it being Dependance Day where we rely in Jesus to help us.

When we lean on Christ for our independence from sin, we become more dependent on the promises that belongs to us.

Choose to depend today.
