Just imagine you were God for a second. You created everything that exists on earth including every being that breathes. You have evidence of your work and have helped millions of people everyday out of some sticky situations, but somehow you have to keep reminding people who you are. Would you be a little frustrated or short tempered?

Well our God we serve is slow to anger and doesn’t lose His cool that easy. What does He do when we turn our back against him, curse Him, or just don’t believe. He stays close to us, “I will never leave you, nor forsake you” Hebrews 13:5. Not to mention, even in our disobedience and rebellious behavior to observe who He is God continues to knock on our door, “I stand at the door and knock, anyone that answers I will come in and dine with them” Revelation 3:20. How merciful is our God?

God continues to show us who He is and the power He possess on a daily basis. Take a look back at the last time you were in a pressure cooker situation and you cried out to God. If you think carefully, do you remember that feeling you had after you called His name? Well if you are true to yourselves, you felt the presence of God breathing around you and calming the situation.

Look at the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego. They were thrown into a burning fiery furnace because they would not comply with the King. But in the midst of their circumstances they trust, believed and hoped in The Lord. What does it say when the King told the guards to open the door? “The King asked the guard did we not throw three men in this fiery furnace? And the guard says, yes.”

“He said then why do I see four men then, and the fourth is like the Son of God”

Thats our God. When it seems like all is lost, He makes himself known to us especially in an impossible situation. So why do we deny him everyday?

Powerful how you tied in the verse of how how Jesus is knocking and wants to dine (stay with us) and how He never let them go through the trial alone. I love my God. We never have to say “goodbye!” Right?
