Where is your heart fixed on today? Are you so caught up in the world’s festivities ,that you are overlooking giving God attention? It is so easy to get caught up with what the world is doing, wanting to know about celebrities, and seeking the approval of your peers.

But God is speaking to you today. In Colossians 3:2 the apostle Paul tells us to keep our eyes above and not on the world. When we begin to look around and wondering what is going on over there or who is saying what, we start to drift away for God. That is devil’s ultimate plan is to slowly pull us out of the reach of God. He knows we have the power within to resist him, but if he can use flashy distractions in the world, he will eventually get your attention.

A few years back I was so caught up in the world, I wanted to be apart of everything, I wanted to hear the same music, know about people that the world calls celebrities, and using money as a way to gage happiness.

Well, I was miserable, not knowing nothing, worshipping people that could not do anything for me. I found myself lost and confuse to what real happiness was all about. Then when Jesus became the center of my life and my heart entered heaven, I truly became happy and was released of that eagerness to “belonging” in the world.

It’s time to do some self examination. It’s okay to like this post, but that doesn’t take away from you looking deep within and answer the question, “where is your heart centered?” Once you are able to answer that question, it will allow you to focus on God and not what the world has to offer.

Do it now before it’s too late.
