But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!” (Mark 4:38-41 NKJV)

Worries, storms, setbacks are all apart of the struggles of living your everyday life. How we react in the midst of the chaos around us is what will determine the outcome and growth as a believer in Christ.

Many people step outside their homes everyday and look to anyone they can fine to dump all their miseries on. These people might be non-Christians and surprisingly there are some faithful church goers. But when the water of life becomes piping hot, their faith gets lost in the wavering storms.

What God is telling you today is to put away the spirit of worry, fear, and pessimistic attitudes and start to exercise the promises of faith without seeing, and believing God has everything under control.

Take that challenge today and allow God to calm the waters when your boat is being shaken. Let Him stir your life boat back to the shore of safe keepings.
